This afternoon in October was one I’ll hold on to for a long time. The kind of day where the hours linger and nothing feels rushed. We spent time in their yard and garden, and wandered out to pick raspberries in the alley behind their house.
It’s not lost on me what it means to be invited into spaces like this — to witness a family as they are, to share real moments and make time for conversation. Their openness, their warmth, and the way they welcomed me into their everyday is something I’ll never take for granted.
These are the kinds of days that remind me why I love what I do.
